Living things are organisms that grow, reproduce, respond to their environment, and carry out essential life processes. Examples include animals, plants, and humans. Non-living things, on the other hand, do not show these life processes—they do not grow, reproduce, or respond to stimuli. Examples include rocks, water, and man-made objects.
In this activity, we will explore the differences by identifying and coloring living things green and non-living things red. This hands-on approach helps reinforce the fundamental concepts of life and the environment around us.
